two things a future generation will not understand about us:

  • that we knew electric vehicles were cheaper to run, simpler to maintain, better for the air, and better for the grid, and still spent years arguing on behalf of combustion engines. out of loyalty to a habit that already today has totally lost its argument

  • that we had access to plant-based nutrition that was healthier for the body and less destructive to the planet, and still industrialised animal suffering at scale, because changing a habit felt harder than defending a system. billions of animals, every year, for a convenience that had long stopped being a necessity
