READING THE SKY...
I CREATED HEADING OUT? BECAUSE I ALWAYS STRUGGLED TO CONNECT A TEMPERATURE ON A SCREEN TO WHAT THE WEATHER WOULD FEEL LIKE IN REALITY. THE IDEA IS TO TAKE A GLANCE AT HEADING OUT EVERY DAY AND HAVE AN IMMEDIATE, PRACTICAL IMPRESSION OF WHAT I SHOULD WEAR TO FEEL COMFY. IT WILL EVEN TELL ME WHEN IT'S BEST TO DO SPORT OUTSIDE (NOT THAT I WOULD DO THIS :B).
FAQ
What should I wear today?
Heading out? reads the live weather for your city (dont worry, i dont track you, it's based on your IP address). I check temperature, wind, rain, and UV levels. Then, according to those and what the weather would REALLY feel like outside, I hand-assembled a complete outfit for each scenario. No AI is used here, only science ;-). It will also tell you the perfect sport window or whether you should put on sunscreen (I put on sunscreen every day anyway).
How does the outfit suggestion work?
Your rough location is guessed from your IP (or set manually), the forecast comes from Open-Meteo, and a rules engine maps feels-like temperature, rain, and wind to one of 24 hand-built outfit themes. Choosing 'I run cold' or 'I run hot' shifts the effective temperature by 3 degrees Celsius.
Is my location tracked or stored?
No. Nothing is stored server-side, and the browser only ever talks to swwwamo.com (I couldn't care less about your data; I built stuff like this for fun). City search runs fully client-side over a self-hosted GeoNames list, and preferences live in localStorage on your device.
